Terms of use

The service

1. MinutePlot is statistical analysis and figure software for research and education, provided by Opimis AB, Gothenburg, Sweden ("we"). It is available as a web application and a desktop application.
2. MinutePlot supports your analysis; it does not replace professional statistical advice. Verify results before publishing or making decisions based on them.

Your account

3. Keep your sign-in details to yourself and give accurate information when registering. You are responsible for activity under your account.
4. An account (or a seat on a group licence) is personal — it is meant for one person. Colleagues are warmly welcome to their own accounts, and group licences make that easy.
5. Academic and student plans are for people who genuinely study or work at an academic institution; we may ask for reasonable proof of eligibility.

Trials, subscriptions & payment

6. The free trial runs for 14 days, needs no payment details, and simply ends if you do not subscribe.
7. Purchases are processed by Paddle, our payment provider and merchant of record. Paddle handles checkout, invoicing and VAT, and their buyer terms apply to the transaction. The charge appears on card statements as PADDLE.NET* MINUTEPLOT.
8. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, at the then-current regular price. You can cancel at any time from Profile → Subscription; the subscription then stays active until the end of the period already paid for and simply does not renew. See the Refund policy for refunds.
9. On a group licence, the licence owner manages seats and the subscription; seat holders use the software under these same terms.
10. We run a referral programme: subscribers can share a personal referral code and earn renewal credits when it is used, as described in Profile → Referral. Opimis AB may modify or discontinue the programme at any time, and abuse of it (for example self-referral or fake accounts) voids the credits involved; serious or deliberate misuse may additionally lead to immediate termination of the account without refund, and Opimis AB may seek compensation for losses caused.
11. Prices and discounts can change. Opimis AB may adjust subscription prices at any time; a price change applies from a later renewal, never retroactively, and existing subscribers are emailed before a changed price is charged. Promotional discounts, the referral programme, and the referral discount rate may be changed, paused, or discontinued at any time; referral discounts have no cash value and are never refunded, paid out, or compensated — including any unused or accumulated discounts, whether the programme changes or ends, the account closes, or they simply go unused.

Your content & acceptable use

12. You keep full ownership of your data and of every figure, table and export you produce with MinutePlot.
13. Do not misuse the service — for example, attempting to disrupt it, to gain access to accounts or data that are not yours, to resell access, or to abuse the third-party literature-search services it relies on.
14. MinutePlot, the MinutePlot name and logo are the property of Opimis AB. These terms give you a right to use the software, not ownership of it.

Warranty & liability

15. MinutePlot is provided "as is". We work hard on correctness and test the statistics carefully, but we cannot promise the software is free of errors or always available.
16. MinutePlot produces statistical output; how that output is interpreted and acted on remains your responsibility. To the extent permitted by law, Opimis AB is not liable for losses arising from decisions made in reliance on the software's results or on interpretations drawn from them.
17. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims connected with the service is limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Changes, law & contact

18. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will announce it in the app or by email before the change takes effect. Continuing to use MinutePlot after that means you accept the updated terms.
19. These terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes are handled by the Swedish courts — this does not limit mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. Consumers in Sweden can also turn to the National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN).
